a weekly podcast coming to you from four undisclosed locations in the UK.
My name is Dan Schreiber, I am sitting here with Anna Tyshinski, James Harkin and Andrew Hunter Murray.
And once again, we have gathered round our microphones with our four favorite facts from the last seven days,
and in no particular order, here we go.
Starting with you, Anna.
My fact this week is that in 2016 Tupperware claimed to be holding a party summer in the world every 1.3 seconds.
Bullshit!
No!
How's that possible?
You're just not being invited, and I know this is awkward.
This is Tupperware parties,
the reason I'm researching this is because I was talking to my mum a couple of weeks ago and she said,
I wonder if anyone goes to Tupperware parties anymore?
And I said, what on earth are you talking about?
And then she was saying about, you know, how in their youths,
you'd have Tupperware parties and they are a thing where a Tupperware salesperson,
sales rep, basically throws a house party where they demonstrate and display all sorts of Tupperware,
and it's still really popular around the world.
So they stopped happening in the UK in 2003, but they happen in lots of other countries still.
