President Trump used a rare primetime address
from the White House last night to renew his calls for tougher voting laws.
He also used his speech to reiterate false claims about the 2020 election.
As NPR's Tamri Keith reports, Trump offered no new evidence of widespread fraud.
Trump has questioned the fairness of every election, going back at least to 2016, an election he won.
In his speech, he talked a lot about vulnerabilities in the system, but didn't offer any proof they'd been exploited.
In recent months, he has used every lever he can to push Congress to pass the Save America Act.
Which would require proof of citizenship to register to vote.
