Think you know everything?
This month's Moth Story Slam theme is schooled.
We want stories about the lessons life taught you, whether they came from a teacher,
a terrible date, an impossible boss, your grandmother, or a mistake you'll never make twice.
The advice you ignored, the reality check you didn't see coming.
The moment you finally, finally figured it out.
Got a five-minute true story?
Take the stage or grab a seat and learn from everyone else's mistakes.
Find a schooled story slam near you at themoth.org slash slam.
That's themoth.org slash slam.
Welcome to The Moth.
I'm Michelle Jalowski.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we're coming to the end of the summer.
And I gotta say, it went by so fast.
One day, you're celebrating the summer solstice,
and the next, it's time to pack up those book bags for the first day of school.
It's been many years since I've been a student,
but I still viscerally remember the apprehension and excitement of a new school year.
New clothes, new binders and pens, a new year, new me attitude.
All told, I've spent about 21 years in school.
