Thanks for having me.
The topic we're going to talk about today, or I should say the topic we're going to argue about today is the importance of argument in politics.
Why in politics in particular?
Well, argument is something that I think we are inclined to do.
Generally.
We disagree, we try to figure things out, we try to evaluate each other's views.
But when we're talking about politics, particularly democratic politics, argument takes on a whole new significance.
Democracy is a lot of different things.
It's voting, it's campaigning, it's shaking hands and kissing babies.
