My name is Professor Chris Alden and I'm here as the chair of this event.
This is another of the innovative events of the LSE Festival of Cruising, which is a play that will talk about issues.
That are broadly the theme of our festival this week, Climate Change.
We're very pleased to do a reading from Cruising, which has been written up by Katrina Bennett.
We are joined by the actors Davy Rodrick and Brooke Johnson.
And Brandon as well.

I was willing to accept it.
This is a, if I could say just a bit of words, a few things about Katrina's work.
This is her first play.
This is not her first play.
Her first play was Choose Your Fighter.
It was developed with mentorship from the barrel.
Oregon Theatre and debuted in festivals across the Midlands and had a sold-out run at Camden's People
Theatre in 2023. It was underwritten by the Arts Council and Jerwood Arts Studio New Work Fund.
Our next play, Consumed, was co-written with Dream Guy Collective and has sold out also at the CPT in 2024.
