Hello and welcome to Intelligence Squared, where great minds meet.
I'm head of programming, Connor Boyle.
For this episode, we're hearing from journalist, broadcaster and familiar face to uk news viewers Zainab Badowi.
She's been host of shows such as the BBC's Hardtalk and was formerly an anchor for Channel Four news.
But her appetite for storytelling isnt just about current affairs.
Her new book, An African History of Africa, looks to tell the story of the vast continent and make thousands of years of history accessible too.
Zeinab, who is also the president of Londons SOAS University, was live on stage recently for our intelligence squared event at Londons Tabernacle Theatre.
She was speaking with the historian, author and broadcaster Kate Williams.
Kate is professor of modern history at Reading University.
Were bringing this to you in three parts.
