Welcome to Intelligence Squared.
Im Conor Boyle.
Its the Sunday debate and this week were dipping back into the archive to 2018 when we assembled a stellar panel to debate pretty much the biggest issue in global politics, left versus right.
Todays debate features Labour MP Stella Creasy, environmental campaigner, journalist and author George Mombiot, conservative MP Quasi Kuarteng and the leading philosopher of conservative thought, the late Roger Scruton, who sadly passed away in 2020.
Our host for the discussion was the journalist Razia Iqbal, known to BBC listeners as the host of Newshour, shes also professor at Princeton University.
Now lets join the debate.
How lovely.
I can tell you're a lovely audience already.
Very warm welcome to you all.
Thank you very much.
The motion is the left has right on its side politics.
