单集文稿 ...

  • Hello lovely.

  • I'm Maria and my name is Rory, and we are the host of the IELTS speaking for Success podcast, the podcast that aims to help you improve your speaking skills as well as your listening skills along the way.

  • We started this podcast because we want you to use high level words and super grammar in your IELTs speaking and in your English life.

  • Rory.

  • So we're going out tonight?

  • Not tonight, this Saturday?

  • Yeah, this Saturday we are, but I haven't been paid yet.

  • Can I borrow some money of you?

  • Yeah, of course you can.

  • And shall we talk about borrowing today?

  • Let's do it.

  • Rory, have you ever borrowed books from others?

  • Oh God, not in a long while.

  • I think the last one I borrowed was about the cold war between, or, sorry, the new cold war between Russia and the west, and I still haven't finished it because of the tremendous amount of work I have.

  • I didn't borrow it from someone, though.

  • I borrowed it from like a, I don't know, we have kind of an open library at work.

  • You can just take things and put things there as you please.

  • Have you ever borrowed money?

  • Uh, yeah, but again, not for ages.

  • I'm pretty self sufficient, so it's never really posed a problem, at least in recent years.
