  • Hello, lovely.

  • I'm Maria, and my name is Rory.

  • And we're the host of the ielts speaking for Success podcast, the podcast that aims to help you improve your speaking skills as well as your listening skills.

  • Along the way, we've started this podcast to give you gorgeous grammar, fabulous vocabulary for your high Ielts school.

  • No, I don't really like this shirt, but it's beautiful.

  • Oh, my hair is a mess on my hair.

  • Look at this.

  • No, Maria, your hair is lovely.

  • Oh, my God.

  • Stop fishing for compliments, Sean.

  • For confluence, let's talk about fishing.

  • Yes, dear listener, it's a comeback.

  • We had fish and fishing in 2020, and it's a comeback.

  • Let's talk about fishing.

  • Is fishing popular in your country?

  • I've discovered recently that it's quite common for people to go up north and go salmon fishing there, and then just on the other side of the water, on the farther shore, you see lots of guys going there with their fishing rods and keep nets.

  • So it seems like it's quite a common thing.

  • Do you like eating fish?

  • Oh, yeah.

  • I've always loved seafood.
