3 分钟Hi there.
This is Harry, and welcome back to our podcasts.
And as always, I have four sentences for you.
Today, I'm going to read them, as always, twice.
Little change.
Today.
Someone has asked me to give you an opportunity to repeat them after me, where you might want to practice pronunciation.
So we'll check that and see how it goes.
Okay, so the first couple of sentences today actually have a connection.
There's a grammar point that I want to clarify with you because somebody has asked me about that.
So I'll do it over the course of the first two sentences and it will become obvious what we're talking about.
So, as always, I'm going to read the sentence twice and then I'll explain the particular grammar point.
Okay, so first one today.
I used to live here when I was young.
I used to live here when I was young.
So second reading, I used to live here when I was young.
Okay, so I'll leave a gap now and you can practice that.
So that word used, yeah, it's a past tense of to use used, u s e d, but you've got a t sound at the end.
I used to live here when I was young.
Used is always in the past.
