单集文稿 ...

  • Hi there.

  • This is Harry, and welcome back to our podcast, looking at different aspects of the english language and how I can help you to hopefully improve your grammar, your pronunciation, and importantly, on the understanding of different expressions.

  • Very important to try and practice these.

  • Try and find an english partner or buddy friend who you can talk to on a regular basis.

  • It doesn't have to be long.

  • It just gives you the opportunity to put into practice what you are learning.

  • Because the english language, and any language is all about conversation.

  • You being able to talk to somebody else, you being able to understand someone else.

  • And if you have any questions or you want anything included, by all means write to me.

  • Be happy to try and include them where I can.

  • Okay, so, as always, I'm going to read this sentence twice, once for the general understanding and then second reading, followed by hopefully a good explanation as to the key grammar points, pronunciation, and other aspects.

  • So if you're comfortable, let's begin.

  • First reading, I heard an interesting piece of news on the radio this morning.

  • They are going to give us a day's holiday next month.

  • Second reading, I heard an interesting piece of news on the radio this morning.

  • They are going to give us a day's holiday next month.

  • Okay, so just very simple past tense at the beginning.

  • I heard.

  • Coming from the verb to hear.

  • I heard.
