5 分钟Hi there.
This is Harry, and welcome back to the podcasts.
These are the podcasts aimed at you people out there wanting to improve your english levels.
And this is for people in or around the intermediate level, where we look at aspects of english grammar, pronunciation expressions, and other aspects of English that I think are important for you to learn.
I have an announcement at the end of the podcast, so you can listen carefully to that.
I think you'll find it interesting, or at least I hope you will.
As always, what I'm going to do, I'm going to read a sentence for you.
I'm going to read it twice.
First time for general understanding, and the second one where I will explain the meaning behind it.
Okay?
So if you're comfortable and ready, then we will begin.
First reading, my parents brought me up in a house full of pets.
Second reading, my parents brought me up in a house full of pets.
Okay, so not so difficult when you read it or listen to it.
So what are the particular grammar points?
Well, we start off with my parents, so we're using this possessive pronoun my.
It's not your, or his or her, it's my.
My parents.
Okay, and parents mean mother and father.
My parents brought me up.
