6 分钟Hi, this is Harry, and welcome back to our podcasts.
And the podcasts I have for you this week are to look at issues regarding the aspect of talking about what we're going to do in the future.
And there are four different ways in which we can talk about the future.
So I'm going to take one aspect of those for each of the podcasts today.
So hopefully you will enjoy it and hopefully it will help you to improve your understanding of English and the English language.
So the first one we're going to look at is about will.
Okay, so normally we use the word will when we're talking about the future.
People expect that.
So here we're going to use will.
And when we're using will in this context, talking about the future, it's usually in relation to something that has just been planned.
So you're making a decision now or it's conditional on something happening in the future.
For example, I will call you tomorrow if you're available.
So that would be conditional or, oh, I don't have any coffee.
I will go to the shop and I'll get some coffee and I'll call you later.
Okay, so something that you have just decided, you've just discovered that you have no coffee in your cupboard, so you have to go to the supermarket.
So.
Oh, I will go to the supermarket now.
Okay, so let me give you the sentence and I'll explain a little bit more.
Isn't it hot?
I think I'll open a window to.
