9 分钟Hi there.
This is Harry.
And welcome back to my podcast where I try to help you to get a better understanding of English so that you can communicate in a more effective way when you meet people, either for business or in a social capacity.
And I help you through the grammar, idioms, phrases, expressions, lots of other aspects of the english language, hopefully in an enjoyable way.
Okay, so what do I have for you in this particular podcast?
Well, what we're going to take a look at are some phrases, and in particular, we're going to look at negotiation phrases.
Negotiation phrases.
So we're going to look at them in a few different ways.
Four different headings.
How to make a proposal, phrases for compromising, accepting a negotiation proposal and objecting to a proposal.
And then in each of those, I'll give you a number of options.
So let's first of all look at making a proposal.
So here we're going to look at three particular aspects.
We'd like to propose that.
So, very simple, we'd like to propose that the next meeting is held in your offices so that we can look at your operation.
Okay?
We'd like to propose that the contract is renegotiated after two years.
Okay, simple request.
Or we propose, or we suggest that this contract is reviewed or negotiated, or looked at again in detail in two years.
So we propose or we suggest that.
