So in the podcast this time I'm talking about some expressions, and the expressions are connected with deciding and choosing when we decide something and when we choose.
So I'm going to give you a number of these expressions and then hopefully I can explain them in a good way for you so you can understand how to use them.
So here are the expressions.
The opportunity of a lifetime slight hesitation to have a choice or to have no option.
A tough choice to have second thoughts, to weigh up the options, to pass up the opportunity to come to a decision.
Okay, so good.
So there are the different options and expressions for deciding and choosing.
So when we decide something, we make a decision, yeah, we're going to do it, or negatively, we're not going to do it.
And when we choose, we are deciding between one and two or three.
So we have different options where we decide or where we don't decide.
So one is positive, one is negative.
Okay, so let me give you some examples of these.
The opportunity of a lifetime.
Well, when we talk about the opportunity of a lifetime, it's something that perhaps we'll never forget.
Or the opportunity that comes along only once in a lifetime.
Or the opportunity that is so rare that you will kick yourself if you don't take that opportunity of a lifetime.
Often it concerns a job where we have the opportunity, perhaps to join another company that's going to give us that chance to travel that we had always dreamt of, or that we had always desired.
So that's one opportunity of a lifetime.
Or perhaps it's the opportunity to travel to another country to study, either to do an MBA or some other third level course qualification.
