10 分钟Hi there, this is Harry, and welcome to my podcast where I try to help you to get a better understanding and therefore better use of the english language.
We help you with business English, conversational English, using expressions, phrasal verbs, idiomatic expressions, and everything connected with that.
And of course, we also focus on pronunciation.
And I'm glad to say that this particular podcast is brought to you courtesy of the letter l, as in love lullaby.
Okay, so as always, we're going to take a look at some keywords, the pronunciations of those, and if you have any comments, of course, I will give you the details at the end of the podcast where you can contact me.
Okay, so let's get started.
As I said, we're going to take a look now at the letter l and particular pronunciations around the letter l.
On the face of it, it sounds quite simple, but there are a number of sounds connected with it, depending on whether there's a single l or there's all, or there's an l before a consonant.
And as you know, a consonant is something other than aeiou the vowel.
So consonants like t or another l or m or c, whatever it might be.
Okay, so let's give you some words, first of all in relation to that letter l.
Hello.
Hello.
How are you?
Please, I am pleased to meet you.
There are eleven of us here.
