Hi there, this is Harry, and welcome back to my podcast where I try to help you to improve your english language, improve your conversational language, business English, use of idioms, phrasal verbs and everything else.
And also, of course, the very important aspect of pronunciation.
So pronunciation is really, really important.
And if you've been keeping up with the podcast recently, you know that we've been going through the Alphabet letter by letter and giving you the different sounds to help you, particularly in those areas where there are some mistakes made.
And the letter s is the letter that I have for you this week.
And this causes a lot of problems for english learners.
So hopefully this one will be of some value to you.
And as always, if you like this and you find it interesting, well, share it with a friend and invite him or her to come along and listen to it too.
And at the end of the podcast, of course, I'll give you my contact details if you wish to contact me.
Okay, so let's look at the letter s.
There are a number of sounds, so there's going to be quite a bit in this particular podcast, I think.
So listen carefully, repeat it a couple of times, and if you have any problems, well, just keep practicing or get back to me and I'll try to help you to understand it a little better.
Okay, let's focus on the key sound of the letter s.
So if we want to make that target sound of s, then touch your top teeth with the sides of your tongue.

And then sort of blow the air through your teeth like a s.
Like that sound s.
