10 分钟Hi there, this is Harry, and welcome.
To my podcast where I try to help you to understand the better use.
Of English to help you with your conversational English, business English and all other.
Aspects, grammar, idiomatic expressions and the like, also with pronunciation from time to time.
And I have a good podcast for you today.
We're going to look at vocabulary connected with memory.
So it'll not just be verbs, it'll be verbs and adjectives.
Okay, so add some expressions, so we want to look at everything connected with memory, provided I don't forget anything.
Haha.
Okay, so let's get started.
So we're going to have some verbs, we're going to have some expressions, some adjectives, and some phrases.
Okay, so words we use when we talk about memory and memories.
So the obvious verb is to memorize.
So we all remember when we were at school memorizing poems for the english class the next day.
Memorize the mathematical equation or the chemical formula, whatever it might be.
So you committed to memory.
Yeah.
So you try to remember the key parts and then when you have to write it down, you can recall your memory.
Okay, so to memorize and to recall, when we are memorizing, we are learning things by heart or off by heart.
So we'd stand in front of the mirror or we'd sit down and we'd recite it to our mothers or fathers or whoever was helping us with at the time with our homework.
