21 分钟Hi there.
This is Harry.
And welcome back to my English lessons, where I try to help you to get a better understanding of the english language.
Whether it's to go for that job interview, whether it's to talk to your colleagues and friends, or whether it's to talk to the boss, whatever it might be, it's to help you to get a better understanding of English.
And if you're reading articles or magazines or books and you come across expressions that you don't understand, well, perhaps some of these lessons will help you to understand them in a better way.
So remember to subscribe to my channel if you can.
And you can always listen to my podcast anytime that you have anything they want me to include.
Well, I'll give you my address at the end of this particular lesson, and you can write to me, and I'd be very happy to include something that you want me to explain to you.
Okay, so what are we going to talk about today in the lesson?
Well, in today's lesson, we're looking at some phrasal verbs, and in particular, we're looking at phrasal verbs connected to money.
Everybody likes money.
Yeah, they like to talk about money.
They like to touch money, although we're not touching much money these days because we're using apps and everything else, but certainly like to talk about it.
A lot of people like to have it, and how can I get more, and what am I going to do with it when I get it?
Okay, so there are lots and lots of phrasal verbs about money, and there are many of these phrasal verbs that I'm going to mention have lots of other uses, but I'm going to focus specifically on the references to money.
Okay?
So hopefully some of them will be a little bit unusual and some of them you might have heard of.
But I'll give you some explanations.
Okay, so what I'm going to do, I'm going to go through them one by one, and then I'm going to go back to them and I'll give you some explanations as hopefully you'll be able to understand it.
Okay, let's get started.
