And today's advanced English lesson is about phrasal verbs using the verb look to look.
Okay, so we're going to go through a list of these, ten in total.
I'll give you the phrasal verb and then I'll give you a situation when you can use it.
Number one, to look after somebody or look after something.
Well, when we look after, we take care of, yes.
Will you please look after the kids while I go to the shop?
Could you please look after my dog?
If I go on holidays, somebody needs to take care of him.
So to look after means to watch over, to take care of, to make sure everything is okay.
So I look after your dog?
Don't worry.
I look after the kids.
I can collect them from school.
