  • When you're at your wit's end, it means really you don't know what to do.

  • You've tried everything.

  • Nothing seems to work.

  • You're running around in circles.

  • You're not sure how you're going to get out of this problem, how you're going to deal with this particular difficulty.

  • You are literally at your wit's end.

  • So you're talking to a friend and you're saying, look, I've tried everything.
