  • This is an advanced english lesson looking at phrasal verbs and looking at phrasal verbs with the verb come to come.

  • So as we've always said, phrasal verbs are quite common.

  • They're used in everyday, but they're always used with very simple verbs.

  • And in this case, it's the verb to come.

  • Now, some of these phrasal verbs are going to be two parts and some of them are going to be three parts.

  • So it's just an extra preposition.

  • So most phrasal verbs are verb plus preposition.

  • Some have verb plus two prepositions.

  • And it's really important because they give it a very different meaning.

  • For example, come down, that's a phrasal verb with one preposition.

  • But if I say come down with, there you have two prepositions down and with, but the meaning completely different.

  • So listen out as we go through each of these examples, and I'll set out and point out when there are two or when there are three part phrasal verbs.

  • Okay, so I said it's an advanced english lesson.

  • Looking at phrasal verbs with come, we've got 30 in total.
