We start with the us presidential election campaign.
Kamala Harris, in her first tv interview since becoming the Democratic Party nominee, sat down alongside her chosen vice presidential candidate, Tim Waltz on CNN, to discuss her bid for the White House and to fight back against the criticism shes faced over the past few weeks.
Miss Harris, whos us vice president, defended how her policy positions on issues such as immigration and fracking had shifted over time, insisting her values have stayed the same.
The most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed.
You mentioned the Green New Deal.
I have always believed, and I have worked on it, that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time.
