  • Welcome to Easy stories in English, the podcast that will take your English from ok to good and from good to great.

  • I am Ariel Goodbody, your host for this show.

  • Todays story is for pre intermediate learners.

  • The name of the story is the mice discuss.

  • This is chapter one of two.

  • You can find a transcript of the episode@easystoriesinenglish.com mice one that's easystoriesinenglish.com mice one.

  • Mice one.

  • This contains the full story as well as my conversation before it today, before I begin, I have a rather embarrassing story to tell you.

  • A few days ago, I almost set my house on fire.

  • I almost caused a big fire in our house.

  • So I am very bad at cooking.

  • Or rather I just don't cook very often and I actually want to learn to cook more.

  • That was my resolution for this year.

  • I will learn to cook.

  • So the other day I decided to make something easy.

  • I thought I would make chicken salad.

  • The salad part is easy to put together and you just have to cook the chicken and chop it up.

  • It should be simple, right?

  • Well, not so much.

  • So we didn't have a big frying pan to use to cook the chicken.
