Blood donation rates are on the rise, which is fantastic news.
In 2023, China has witnessed a record high in blood donations, with nearly 17 million donations made.
But why then are some hospitals still struggling to meet the demand for blood?
How can we improve the situation and literally save lives?

Clearly today were exploring the story of generosity that despite its growing strength, faces an uphill battle.
More people are rolling up their sleeves to donate blood.
Yet the demand in hospitals continues to outpace supply, which leads to the problems of some people finding it hard to use blood.
By saying finding it hard, I mean meeting problems.
In the end, we see surgeries happen, lives are saved, all the blood that need to be used are used.
Yet we still see problems and sometimes complaints in their daily lives.
So lets talk about the current situation.
The blood donation reaches record high to start with and see how come that high record of blood donation is not just solving the problem that easy.
I mean, the voluntary blood donations are the main source of clinical blood use in China.
